Happy List! – March 30, 2011

Things that make me happy… RIGHT NOW!

– The X-Files: I Want To Believe aired on FX tonight. Is it wrong that my heart still does a little jig when I see my two favorite agents getting precious screen time on basic cable? Sure, I own every episode of every season and both movies on all formats, but there’s just something about knowing that the truth is still available to the masses.

– Great mood-saving music. I got caught in a traffic standstill this morning. Just as I caught myself beginning to panic that I would be late, Lump by The Presidents of the United States of America came on Sirius 90s on 9. Immediately I was thrown back to my first year of driving, singing full out and cracking up with my sister on our early morning school commute. Oh, and Sir Mix a Lot came on right after. You know what I’m talking about… *whip crack*! 😉

– Board games with the family. I got my sister a game called Dicecapades! (a brainchild of Haywire Group) for Christmas, mainly for the fact that it came with over 100 dice. Seriously. I had no idea how great it would actually be! Despite the obligatory trivia questions (of win… at least for me anyway), there are also challenges which include poker hands (yes, dice), basic math within 30 seconds, drawing (Pictionary style), celebrity impersonations (don’t ask), physical challenges, randomness involving expirations dates, and much, much more. Genius madness.

Roll the dice once in a while, and keep thinking of the things that make YOU smile! 🙂
